The
Poland Angus cattle have been bred emphasising EPD's that are
moderate in birth weight, heavy on weaning and yearling with good
milk EPD's. The bulls have been specially
bred for carcass value, using carcass EPD's and numerous carcass
sires over the last several years. They have been managed to gain
at a target weight of 3 pounds per day post-weaning. The idea
is to manage the bulls so they are mature
enough to work as yearlings but without excess fat. Their heifer
mates are retained within herd. We offer bulls
for sale that will produce females that
are the "keeping kind".
